A Kansas Heritage Group site 172. Pale blue or purplish ray flowers, yellow disk flowers in daisy-like heads
scattered over the plant. Ray flowers often recurved-rolled at maturity.
The tips of the bracts are reddish or purple. August--September
Leaves smooth, scarcely clasping the stem.
Plant smooth. 10--39 in.
Moist soil of creek banks, ditches and swales.
