A Kansas Heritage Group site 155. Yellow ray flowers and reddish-purple disk flowers in daisy-like heads. Disk flowers in the center of the disk head
have conspicuous white hairs at the tip. Outer bracts not conspicuously edged with bristles. June--September
Leaf edges are even or have fine teeth.
Rough plant. 24--80 in.
