142. Yellow ray and disk flowers in daisy-like heads in long groups. The lower branches arch and have heads on the upper side only. July--September
Leaf edges even to toothed. Leaves smooth. Lower most leaves the largest, topmost leaves the smallest. Bundles of reduced leaves occur at the junction of the leaf and the stem.
Plant is smooth below the heads. 6--39 in.
